I've spent the entire day writing roleplays and by the time I had logged off, I realized that I had written somewhere close to around 70 roleplays today. Pretty good considering that I've basically scrapped everything I've written in the past week, including articles, some of which due in a few hours. So, at least I know I'm nowhere near burnout.
The roleplaying ended up inspiring me to write a story based on my characters John of The Cross and Veronica Roth. I'm so inspired that I can actually see writing it within a couple weeks and actually translating it, later, into a screenplay. Which is great because none of my ideas, including my Guardian Angel concept, have moved as far as the first page.
With the story I have now, I can actually see major scenes, I can see how it starts and how it ends and I'm just loving it. In typical fashion, I'm not going to jump into it. In fact, outside of the two paragraphs and several lines of dialogue I've written, I'm not even going to touch it. I'm going to let the ideas sink and ferment. Mentally writing and editing it as I go along. I'm at the stage where I flip though my record collection and try to find the one song that perfectly encapsulates it lyrically and musically; its mood, if you will. The kinda song that pretty much tells you exactly what to expect.
And when I do find that song, I'm going to take it with me. When I'm walking, I wanna be thinking about that story. When I'm in the cab or in the train, I wanna be thinking about that story. When I'm having a smoke as I'm looking out my balcony, I wanna think about that story.
I'm already excited, which is a good thing. I wanna build up that excitement to the point where I become such a fumbling idiot, that I have to write that story.
I reckon I'll have plenty of time to think about that story because I think I've got a fever coming over me.
